To the Editor: Museum thanks WACOM

On behalf of the Maturango Museum members, staff, and volunteers I would like to thank WACOM for its very generous donation. Your donation will be added to donations from others to purchase a new portable stage and continue to make improvements in our facilities. Replacing the very heavy, cumbersome old stage allows us more space in the Panamint Room where we frequently hold activities for students, including summer classes.

Adults and children enjoy participating in the cultural experiences, concerts, and lectures at the Museum. WACOM is always a strong supporter of the Maturango in its quest to educate and entertain.

We encourage the public to support the WACOM Thrift Store by donating any unneeded items you may have or by visiting the store on base. WACOM volunteers collect and sell donated items and distribute the funds to community organizations. It’s a great way to support our community! Again, thank you WACOM for supporting us!

Deborah Benson, executive director of Maturango Museum
