Water District board to meet Monday

The Indian Wells Valley Water District Board of Directors will Meet Monday, May 8, 6 p.m. at the IWVWD office. At press time, agenda information was not available, but it will be posted on www.iwvwd.com/board-of-directors/board-meeting-agendas.

General Manager Don Zdeba released April’s water-conservation numbers showing that customers used 14.1 percent less water last month compared to that used in April 2013. While this is a slight increase from last year’s use, the cumulative conservation rate of 21.5 percent meets the 20 percent conservation target set in June of 2016.

The district reminds customers that while Gov. Jerry Brown declared an end to California’s drought emergency, the local watering ordinance is still in effect – reducing landscape watering to three days a week. For details see
