Unconditional Life album-release concert is Saturday
The Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert will bring popular local rock band Unconditional Life back to the Historic USO Building stage Saturday, March 25, at 7 p.m.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for a tri-tip dinner. The band is celebrating the upcoming release of its album, “The Beginning.”
“These guys are talented alumni of our Open Mic Night presentations. Every time they come home, they play to packed houses,” said a spokesperson.
“These talented musicians have grown into highly accomplished artists with a large following of loving fans.”
What started as Albert Bermudez and Brent Boberg playing the rock-pop genre at dive bars for fun in 2009 has become a serious ambition.
Joining the group is another talented alumna of Open Mic, Alas de Liona. A singer-songwriter from Ridgecrest, Alas picked up a guitar at the age of 18 and began writing her own songs as soon as she could play chords. In a short time, she and a few friends formed the band Red Rockwell and performed in several local venues.
Ragin’ Cajun Levi Petree and his band, the Radio Publica, will round out the special concert event. Hailing from Lafayette, La., Levi was born on the bayou and infuses that area’s unique spirit into his music and performances.
Pre-sale tickets for the concert only are now available for $10 each. Concert-and-dinner combined tickets are $15. Tickets can be purchased at the Historical Society Gift Shop, located in the Historic USO?and open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
