Thousands turn out for Health FairThe “Wrench Dodgers,” pictured with Ridgecrest Regional Hospital Outreach Coordinator Tera Moorehead (left) and Sheena Temple of High Desert Fitness, scored back-to-back victories against the “Dodge Fathers” to win the inaugural Dodgeball Tournament, held this year in conjunction with RRH’s annual community health fair. “I think our attendance was a little bit higher than it has been in the past, and part of that was the Dodgeball Tournament,” said Moorehead. She estimated about 2,000 visited the fair, including 350 who took advantage of low-cost blood screenings and hundreds more who participated in the sponsored activities. -- Photos by Rebecca Neipp (above) and Laura Austin (left)
