Hodge awarded for 45 years of service

Hodge awarded for 45 years of serviceJay Hodge, a senior engineer at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, receives an award for 45 years of service. “Once upon a time, automatic target recognition meant staring at a black-and-white wet-film photo and a handdrawn map trying to put those together,” said NAWCWD?Commander Rear Adm. Brian Corey. “A lot has changed in the Navy and naval aviation. We have retained world- class expertise, and one of those experts is the man of the hour.” Hodge has served as a project engineer and principal investigator in addition to authoring and co-authoring several technical publications. “I have been able to work with a great team and the reason I’m still here after 45 years is because of the people right here,” Hodge said. “This is one of the premier science and technology teams around. It’s been a wonderful career, abso-lutely wonderful.” -- U.S. Navy photo by Ron Rodriguez
