To the Editor: Ridgecrest is such a nice town

I came from Apple Valley to visit my grandparents for the week. Tonight, after having dinner at Farris’ Italian Gardens, we were stopped at a sobriety checkpoint.

This was the first one I have ever been through in my 14 years. This must be why Ridgecrest is such a nice town.

I am happy to see that we have such good people in this world such as the police. I would like to see more people stop disrespecting them and notice that they are doing what they do to help keep us safe on and off the road. I look up to them. They are not doing what they do to be jerks. They are good people and I would like to be a cop one day when I am able to get a job.
