Tea and talk with mystery author
For the final entry in the 2014 Ridge Writers “Read the Book, Meet the Author” series, New York Times best-selling author Carol Cassella will talk about her just-released novel “Gemini” over tea and scones starting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at My Enchanted Cottage & Tea Rooms, 214 W. Ridgecrest Blvd.
A love story and medical mystery, “Gemini” has received rave reviews. The Boston Globe praised it as “a suspenseful narrative of emotional depth and moral complexity with a sharp little twist that binds the main characters. A practicing anesthesiologist, Cassella has keen, beautifully rendered insights into genetics, neuroscience, and medical ethics.”
“Read the Book Meet the Author” participants should sign up at Red Rock Books and give themselves enough time to read the book in advance. The cost of $45 includes the hardcover book, tea and scones at My Enchanted Cottage & Tea Rooms, the opportunity to have the book personally autographed, and a seat for the event. Each participant will also get one entry per attended sessions for a gift basket drawing. The prize will be awarded at the end of the May 15 gathering.
