Deadline April 15 for ID, WW events
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division will host recruiting events for individuals with disabilities and wounded warriors at Point Mugu on June 10 and China Lake on June 12.
Participation in this event is by invitation only. Applications and required documentation must be received by April 15.
An individual with disabilities who wants t be considered for a noncompetitive Schedule A ap-pointment must submit a resume and a letter certifying a severe physical, emotional, psychiatric or cognitive learning disability.
Certification is a signed document on letterhead from a licensed medical professional, a vocational rehab specialist or a federal or state agency that issues payment based on disability.
To qualify as a wounded warrior, you must be a veteran with a disability rating of 30 percent or more. You must submit a resume, a DD-214 (member 4 copy) and a letter verifying your disability rating by the Department of Veterans Affairs on or after 1991, or a letter verifying your rating by a branch of the armed forces.
Occupational groups with positions available include scientists and engineers, business professionals, information technology specialists, logisticians, engineering and electronics technicians and clerical workers.
Eligibility for appointment will be confirmed before invitations are extended. A hiring manager on-site will interview candidates invited to an event. U.S. citizenship is required. Each candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
