Keeter Stuart to appear at Trona Centennial
APPEARING AT TRONA CENTENNIAL MUSIC FESTIVAL – Keeter Stuart, shown above, continues the lineage of his uncle, Stan Jones, who wrote “Ghost Riders in the Sky.” Stuart will be one of the musicians in the Trona Centennial Music Festival on Saturday, March 29, 7 p.m., in the Old Trona Theater. For years Jones was a ranger in Death Valley, and Stuart developed an affinity for this area as a result. He has performed at several Death Valley events, including the recent rededication of the Death Valley National Park Visitor Center at Furnace Creek. Also appearing at the music festival will be Doug Deep, bringing guitar-driven rock with a nod to classic style; the Out of the Blue acoustic band; and the Carter Brothers and friends with classic and country rock.
