Santa’s Art Shop is this weekendArtists and crafters from near and far are getting ready to display their special items for sale to thousands of customers who will head their way as this year’s Santa’s Art Shop opens this weekend. The 36th Annual Santa’s Art Shop will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the Desert Empire Fairgrounds.

“Santa’s Art Shop draws more than 5,000 shoppers each year, and 200-plus vendors from out-of-town,” said Pat Farris, owner of the Santa’s Art Shop business. “All the buildings at the fairgrounds are fully reserved along with a considerable amount of outside walkway spaces, totaling a 33,000-square-foot exhibit area.”

A major event for the Indian Wells Valley, Santa’s Art Shop has become as a family tradition for visitors and local folks who will find an assortment of tasty treats, old fashioned Christmas favorites and warm beverages like hot chocolate. Vendors ready to greet the shoppers will offer everything from fruits to nuts, woodwork, ready-to-wear children’s clothing, photography, paintings, jewelry and more.

Santa’s Art Shop offers an opportunity to do special Christmas shopping without leaving town. The festive atmosphere will provide a great place to wander from booth to booth finding a wide variety of unique and unusual things you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Throughout the day, strolling carolers will offer traditional Christmas music. Visitors walking along the midway will enjoy a holiday atmosphere of tempting aromas of roasted cinnamon nuts, kettle corn, traditional hot sandwiches and international foods.
