Ridge Project offers tips to spruce up our town for company
There’ll be a lot family members and guests coming to town for the holidays. Let’s all do our part to make this a great experience for everyone by showing that there is pride in this little community out in the middle out of nowhere.
According to a RidgeProject volunteer, “We all need to adopt the attitude, ‘It’s my sidewalk, my neighborhood, my community, etc.’ and for those that have the blessing of mobility, to spend a little bit of time doing something positive.”
RidgeProject organizers report that people all over Ridgecrest are creating ways to help our community look better for the holidays. Everyone is a part of RidgeProject, it’s not just a few individuals – it’s all who decided to live, work and raise a family in Ridgecrest.
How can you help this wonderful holiday season? Here are some ideas: clean up sidewalks and gutters that line the streets and neighborhoods, sweep and weed your business’ parking lot, pick up trash in dirt lots and give your home or business a fresh coat of paint.
If you plan on taking some time off this December (use or lose) please take an hour or two of your time and pick an area of town that needs help.
The city can take care of the streets, but the citizens can pitch in with the sidewalks, gutters, etc.
Help do your part by cleaning your area of interest or donate toward the Drummond Median Art project. It doesn’t take much to produce a big impact.
