SSUSD board meets Nov. 21
The Sierra Sands Unified School District’s Board of Education will meet on Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers. The meeting is open to the public.
Among the agenda items are a presentation on Murray Middle School entitled Becoming a R.E.A.L. Mustang—Student Recognition a Key to Success; approval of memorandum of Uunderstanding between Cerro Coso Community College and Sierra Sands regarding dual enrollment; approval of Common Core State Standards Implementation funding plan; approval of equipment purchases using the Federal Military-Connected Local Education Agencies for Academic and Support Programs Grant; approval for educational specification for Murray Middle School by the SSUSD Board of Trustees; and authorization to permit Ridgecrest to be granted a temporary construction easement and a “right of way” dedication for a portion of land on the James Monroe Middle School campus.
