Classic car enthusiasts flocked to the “Rally For Life” car show, held Sept. 28 at Crossroads Community Church. The event raised $1,200 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.
“It went really well,” said Debbie Brickey, event spokesperson. “We had 26 entries and presented eight trophies.”
Brickey’s Relay For Life team put on the show; other Relay For Life teams also attended and did fundraisers at the same event.
The Best of Show winner was a 1940 Willys pickup, owned by Randy and Carole Coffee of Ridgecrest.
Other categories were People’s Choice, Best Paint, Best Stock, Best Modified, Best Motorcycle, Best Four by Four and Ladies’ Choice.
The Relay For Life is set for Oct. 19 and 20 at Cerro Coso Community College’s running track.
