Poole is new athletic trainer at Cerro Coso
Cerro Coso Community College announced last week that Angela Poole is the new athletic trainer at the college.
Originally from Tennessee, Poole is well prepared and experienced as a certified athletic trainer. She holds a bachelor of science from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn., in physical education and athletic training specializing in strength and conditioning and a master’s from the University of North Alabama in health promotion and human performance.
She played volleyball in college and served as an associate athletic trainer at Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tenn.
Poole’s goal is to provide more coverage to CCCC athletes, and she hopes to see the sports programs grow and bring in new competitive athletic op-portunities.
“Find a way. Find what works for you. Don’t make excuses. Taking action and setting goals is how you succeed in life. Whatever your goals, find a way to make them happen,” she advised athletes.
The college is recruiting additional players for all sports teams — volleyball, soccer, and baseball. Call new Athletic Director John Mercer at 760-384-6353 for more information.Story First Published: 2013-08-21
