Deborah Zaylon Muse
Ridgecrest native Deborah Zaylon Muse died on June 20, 2013, in Ridgecrest. She was 62.
Memorial services were held on July 7 at the Salvation Army Chapel.
Deborah was born on Nov. 12, 1951, in Ridgecrest, and graduated from Sherman E. Burroughs High School. She married Rex Muse, and together they had three daughters, Shelisa, Kristie and Ruth.
Deborah’s hobbies were crafts and painting. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Rex, to places like Montana, Las Vegas and Rialto, Calif. She was a wonderful cook. She loved her family with all her heart. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her special joy.
“She was a social butterfly,” said her daughter Shelisa Muse McConnell. “She loved her friends and family. She didn’t have much to give, but she would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.”
Deborah is survived by her daughters, Shelisa Muse McConnell of Ridgecrest, Kristie Smith of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ruth Smith of Ridgecrest; grandson Phillip Hay of Ridgecrest, granddaughters Grace McConnell and Hannah Hassett, both of Ridgecrest, and two great grandchildren in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Weiser, husband Rex Muse and two brothers, Phillip K. Muse and Larry Muse.
Deborah was much loved and will be deeply missed.
