Nannette Hinds-Hittu, also known as “Lexie,” of Ridgecrest passed away peacefully on June 7, 2013, at Loma Linda Medical Center, surrounded by her husband, family and friends at her bedside. She was 34.
Her celebration of life will be on Sunday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at the Ridgecrest Seventh Day Adventist Church, 555 W. Las Flores Blvd.
Lexie moved from San Diego to Ridgecrest in 2004 while her husband Sgt. Edward Hittu was deployed to Iraq. Lexie was a loving wife, sister, daughter and daughter-in-law of Netty and Michael Miller of Ridgecrest.
She loved her dogs (Kodabear, Beaty and Gabe) and cat “Mao-Mao.” She also liked shopping in China Town and traveling with family. She loved Indonesian and Thai foods.
She was preceded by her late mother, Denise Hinds, of New Church, Va.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Sgt. Edward Hittu, USMC; brother Richard Hinds of Ridgecrest; sister Ann Ross of Delaware; father Rusty and stepmother Cookie Hinds of San Diego; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins of New Church, Va.
