Bryon Bos to perform at RidgeProject event

The RidgeProject organizers announced this week that a fundraiser slated for Saturday, June 29, will feature singer/songwriter Bryon Bos. The event will raise money to help families of Moore, Okla., stricken by the May 20 tornado.

On the RidgeProject website and on flyers posted around town, the event is called “Two Communities, One Purpose!” and offers a chance to help make a difference in Ridgecrest and Moore.

Although Bos is best known in the modern church setting, he has crossed over many lines in his writing and performances. According to his biography, Bos co-wrote and performed “I’m Coming Home,” the theme song for the hit Lifetime Reality Series, “Coming Home” with Season 3 American Idol finalist Matt Rogers, who was also the host of the show. Bos and Rogers have performed for organizations including the National Football League, National Basketball Association, USO, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and more.

In addition to Bos’ performance, the event will include a dinner, an auctioneer, good food and fun, 5-9 p.m. at Kerr McGee Center. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per person and special tables are available. Call 760-446-4279 for more information. Tickets will also be sold at Gary Charlon State Farm Office. Information about RidgeProject can be found at www.ridgeproject.net
