Eleanor Louesia Brammer

Eleanor Louesia Clevinger Brammer, 79, of Ridgecrest, went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2013, after a battle with dementia.

She was born in Grundy, Va., on March 4, 1934, to Russell and Mary Elsie Clivinger. Eleanor graduated as valedictorian from Grundy High School in 1952, then graduated from Bluefield College and Cal State Bakersfield.

She married John Brammer on Dec. 18, 1955. She was a resident of Ridgecrest for 47 years and worked at the Naval Weapons Center in numerous positions.

Eleanor was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Some of her interests included traveling, fishing, camping, and quilting.

Eleanor is survived by her loving and devoted husband, John E. Brammer of Ridgecrest; son Larry and Susan Brammer of Orangevale; daughter Sandy and Brian Danielsson of Ridgecrest; grandchildren Aimee Brammer of Orangevale, Sarah and Buck Weaver of Ridgecrest, Allison Brammer of Huntington Beach and David Danielsson of Ridgecrest;great-granddaughter Penny Weaver of Ridgecrest; sister Mary Lynn Tylenda of Camp Hill, Pa.; and brother Jim Clevinger of Leesburg, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis Marshburn, her brother William Clevinger and her mother and father.
