Cerro Coso Community College to hold commencement exercise Friday
More than 300 degrees and certificates will be received at Cerro Coso Community College’s commencement exercises Friday, May 10, in the gymnasium of the Raymond A. McCue Athletic Complex located on the west side of College Heights Boulevard in Ridgecrest.
The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Cerro Coso will honor eligible graduates from the Indian Wells Valley Campus, Kern River Valley Campus in Lake Isabella, East Kern Center at Edwards Air Force Base and the online campus. A separate ceremony was held at the Eastern Sierra College Center located in Bishop on Friday, May 3.
Local deputy district attorney and Cerro Coso Community College graduate L. Scott Garver have been selected as the Alumni Association’s 2013 Distinguished Alumni Speaker.
The Academic Senate has selected three exceptional graduates to address the assemblage: Gianna James (liberal arts: social and behavioral sciences AA) and Anna Moschitto (liberal arts: math and science AA) from the Ridgecrest campus, and Jennifer Buel (AS human services) from the Kern River Valley campus.
