Republican women to hear from Marlene Tracy

Ridgecrest Republican Women, Federated will meet Friday, May 17, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the banquet room of Victoria’s at the Heritage.

The guest speaker will be Marlene Tracy, who will discuss the history of the California Federation of Republican Women.

“This is an interesting insight into the history and purpose of our organization,” said a spokesperson. “The public is invited to attend and learn more about our club.”

RRWF is an educational organization whose purpose is to help Republican women and men understand better the political process and to keep abreast of current legislation that affects our lives locally and nationwide.

Tracy has lived in Ridgecrest for 32 years and has  been an active member of RRWF for 17 years. She served as vice president from 1997-1999, president from 2000-2002, program chair, alert chair, voter registration chair, Republican Headquarters chair, chaplain  and caring for our troops chair.

She has also served as alert chair for California Federation of Republican Women, Central Division. She has been chaplain for four years for CFRW Central Division. She was appointed by state Sen. Jean Fuller as a delegate to the California Republican Party State Convention.

She is Director for Region 1 for CFRW Central Division.

Tracy is  active in Women’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel.

She was married to Chuck Tracy for 51 years. They have six children, 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
