County to bring JobFest to Ridgecrest Friday
The Kern County Department of Human Services will bring a JobFest to Ridgecrest this Friday, April 26, at SpringHill Suites Marriott, 113 East Sydor Ave., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to the Human Services Department, Ridgecrest’s unemployment rate is 7.8 percent, while the county’s rate is 13.6 percent. The JobFest, as part of a 2013 JobFest Series, is bringing employment opportunities to the Indian Wells Valley and every region of Kern County.
“The JobFest series is just one way DHS works to improve the lives of children and families throughout Kern County. We are seeking employers with current, open positions to participate in our JobFest Series,” said Heidi Carter- Escudero. There is no cost to participate.
Call Shanda Evett at 661-633-7036 to receive an Employer Participation Commitment form.
Job seekers should come to JobFest dressed for success with at least 20 copies of their resume or master application. Job leads and resume assistance are available every day to the public in all DHS locations. Visit KCDHS.org for location information.
