James Glen Dixon
James Glen Dixon, of Ridgecrest, passed away on March 22, 2013, at the age of 67. His memorial service was held on April 1 in Ridgecrest.
After retiring from the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake, in 2010, Mr. Dixon enjoyed many activities in the area. He was a petroglyph tour guide, served on the Mountain Rescue Team,and was an avid ham radio operator. His hobbies included running, hang gliding, target shooting, fencing and mountain climbing.
A member of the Over the Hill Track Club and the Inyokern Chamber of Commerce, he attended the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary (Wisdom) Dixon. He is survived by his sister, Stacy (Bruce) Creed, niece Erin Creed (Jack Lothian), stepsons Tobias and Timothy (Lisa) Youngs, stepdaughter Tammy Youngs, brothers-in-law Richard (Geraldine) Wisdom and Dan (Donna) Wisdom, great-nieces Anastasia and Penelope Sanchez and Margaret Lothian and step-grandsons Michael and Christopher Youngs.
