Alice Schroeder passed into paradise on March 29, 2013, after a brief illness. She was 81.
Services will be held on Friday, April 5, with viewing from 10:30-11:30 a.m., service at 11:30-12:30 at the Relief Society Room of the Church of Latter-day Saints Ward Meeting House, located on North Norma Street. Graveside Blessing will be at 12:30 p.m. at Desert Memorial Park in Ridgecrest.
Alice was born on May 6, 1931, in Grantsville, Utah, to Arthur and Evaline Oliver, the fifth of eight children. In 1949 she met her future husband, Carl Schroeder, who was in the U. S. Army.
They wed on Jan. 14, 1950, at her family home in Grantsville. During their 58 years of marriage, they welcomed five children into the world.
She is survived by their surviving children, sons Roy Schroeder and wife Bonnie, Carl L. Schroeder and wife, Cynthia and Thomas Schroeder and wife Marla; daughter Linda M. Carter and husband Ernie; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; their fifth child, Paul Bruce, who died during childbirth; parents Arthur and Evaline Oliver; brother Elden Oliver; and sisters Dortha Hatch and Ruth Graham.
