The annual Community Children’s Fair is set for April 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in LeRoy Jackson Park. This event is free and open to the public. Organizers encourage the public to come on out and enjoy a fun, informative few hours in the park.

While the target audience is children grades K through five, activities for youth up to middle-school age will also be available.

This event is hosted by Leapin’ Lizards and the Eastern Sierra Association for the Education of Young Children.

Many vendors have already signed up, including Head Start, several child development centers, and a joint booth featuring volunteers from Young Engineers and Scientists and Expanding Your Horizons performing live science experiments.

Immanuel Christian Child Development Center’s booth will celebrate its 10th anniversary as a child development center, with a theme of “Travel Around the World.”

Entertainment will be provided by the Ridgecrest Xtreme All-Stars cheer team, the Farris Family Singers, High Desert Fitness, Pure Healing Foods and Hi Desert Dance.

Vendor spaces are available for individuals and groups providing free information relevant to families or doing something that is free to families, such as coloring, stringing beads or blowing bubbles.

Organizers have already contracted with two vendors to sell food, so no other food vendors will be accepted, and no other sales may take place.

For more information about vendor spaces or entertainment, call Tina at Leapin’ Lizards, 760-499-1770.
