Herbert T. ‘Ted’ Lotee

Herbert T. ‘Ted’ Lotee Herbert T. “Ted” Lotee died at Ridgecrest Regional Hospital March 3, 2013, after a long and productive life. He was 96.

A celebration of his life is planned for 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, on the lanai behind the China Lake Museum of Armament and Technology.

Lotee and his wife Eleanor came to our community in 1947 and made lifelong friends here as they gathered on that very same lanai, then attached to the Officers’ Club.

Lotee’s 34-year career at China Lake and his volunteer activities throughout his life here included numerous accomplishments that will be detailed in a subsequent obituary to run closer to the date of the service.

His family suggests that in lieu of flowers, his many friends may remember Lotee by making donations in his name to the Community Light Opera and Theatre Association, the Maturango Museum or the China Lake Museum Foundation.
