Irish dancers to perform here March 12

The National Dance Company of Ireland is bringing its spectacular two-hour show, “Rhythm of the Dance,” to Ridgecrest on Tuesday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m., at the Parker Performing Arts Center.

Sponsored by the Indian Wells Valley Concert Association, the dance and music extravaganza contains 22 hard-shoe Irish dances with unbelievable footwork, three tenors and a live band.

“This production is both entertaining and mesmerizing,” said someone who had seen the show. “‘Wow’ does not do it justice.”

“Rhythm of the Dance,” internationally rated as one of the most popular and busiest Irish step-dance shows in the world, aspires for content purity, preserving the traditions of Irish step dancing.

Tickets are available while supplies last at Red Rock Books, Jeff’s Music Shop and the Maturango Museum.

Discount prices for individuals older than 65, full-time military personnel and students younger than 21 are also available. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m. with auditorium seating at 7 p.m.
