Daniel Howard Welsh

Daniel Howard Welsh passed away Jan. 7, 2013. He was 59.

Services will be conducted at Crossroads Community Church, 235 N. China Lake Blvd., on Friday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. Pastor Bill Corley will officiate.

Daniel was born on Oct. 19, 1953, in Weaverville, Calif. He was a resident of Trona and Ridgecrest for many years. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and reached the rank of lance corporal. He worked in Trona and Bakersfield in the construction and oil fields prior to returning to Ridgecrest because of a disability. Daniel had a difficult life, but was a very generous person, reaching out to family and friends. He knew Christ as his Savior.

He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Ransburg; mother, Joan Welsh; brother Michael Welsh and wife Robin, sister Sue Kriedel and husband Dave; grandchildren Vanessa, Jasmin and Kymberly; loving nephews Kraig Welsh, Armando and Javier Diaz; niece Heather Davis, several great-nieces and -nephews and loving dog, Taffy.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Welsh and grandson Anthony Temblador. Interment will be in the Trona Cemetery, near his father’s resting place.
