Elizabeth Ellen Allen
Elizabeth Ellen “Liz” Allen has gone home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Jan. 16, 2013, at age 49.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held at Grace Point Church. 443 Inyokern Rd., on Friday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m. officiated by Pastor Mark Godfrey. A reception will follow.
Born March 30, 1963 in Trona, Calif., to Evelyn (Holski) and Bill Herron, Liz lived most of her life in Ridgecrest. She worked at China Lakeas an office manager and was the secretary for the Combined Federal Campaign board.
She loved her family, friends and co-workers and enjoyed many activities within her church and community. Liz and her husband Dave were active participants with Habitat for Humanity for many years.
Over the years she participated in Celebrate Recovery and Bible studies at both Crossroads Community Church and True Love. Currently she attended Grace Point Church where she was active in Compassion Ministry and her Tuesday night women’s Bible study.
She is survived by her husband Dave Allen of Ridgecrest; sons Juan Ortiz and wife Jena of Reno, Nev., Cory Allen and his significant other Katie Romp of Ridgecrest, and David Allen of Ridgecrest; six grandsons and one unborn grandson; father Bill Herron and stepmom Brenda of Showlow, Ariz.; brother Paul Herron and wife Dana of Redding; as well as multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her mother, Evelyn; stepfather, Cliff Holski; and sisters Linda Finley and Judy Kirsinas preceded her in death.
