Elk Foundation dinner-auction is Jan. 26
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s 20th Annual Dinner and Auction will be held at the Kerr McGee Center on Saturday, Jan. 26.
The mission of the RMEF, both locally and nationally, is “Ensuring the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat and our hunting heritage.”
The RMEF is seeking donations, volunteers, and sponsors for this year’s upcoming event.
Sponsors will be spotlighted in press releases, the banquet program and radio spots, as well as at the banquet.
The upcoming evening of fun includes a fabulous meal catered by Bob and Tammy Crane and Emceed by KKYT’s own Eric Kauffman. This year’s ticket chairman is John Adams, 775-619-0178. Notice will be published when tickets are available at local stores; there will be no tickets for sale at the door.
A nonprofit organization, RMEF bases its work strongly on the belief that the younger generation needs to learn about goals
The organization will be expan-ding to include more youth-oriented activities and prizes at the dinner and auction this year. Pre-event fundraisers are in the planning stages.
Those who have supported this fundraising event in prior years probably know that there have been changes in the core group, but the mission remains the same.
The new committees will carry on in the spirit and traditions of the past 19 years. “RMEF appreciates those who have given so much of their time in the past supporting the banquets, and we plan to build on their inspiration, foundations and leadership values.”Story First Published: 2013-01-23
