Speakers announced for Economic Outlook Conference

Tickets now on sale for chamber’s Feb. 21 event

“Entrepreneurship: The Way Forward,” the 26th annual Indian Wells Valley Economic Outlook Conference and Business Expo, will be held Feb. 21 at the Kerr McGee Center in Ridgecrest.

The keynote speaker is Debbie Allen, an entrepreneur who has built and sold numerous million-dollar companies in diverse industries for more than 30 years. She is a recipient of the Blue Chip Enterprise Award, given by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to those who have overcome business obstacles to achieve fast growth.

She is a bestselling author of five books, has presented in over 28 countries and is one of the top 3 percent of professional women speakers worldwide. Her expertise has been published in dozens of publications including Entrepre-neur Magazine, Forbes and USA Today.

She is also a featured expert in four motivational movies including “The Opus” and “The Compass.”

Navy and community leaders will give updates on topics that include China Lake Alliance, UAV projects at Inyokern Airport, the housing market, the newly created Entrepreneurial Club and more. Elected speakers include Kern County 1st District Supervisor Mick Gleason and Mayor Dan Clark.

Individual tickets are priced at $45 and reserved tables of eight at $320. Tickets can be purchased at the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce, 128 E. California Ave., Suite B. Tickets purchased after Feb. 1 will be $50 each.

Spaces at the Business Expo are also available for $75.

The conference begins at 7 a.m. with a continental breakfast and Business Expo that highlights many local businesses, their products and services. The program begins at 8 a.m. and will adjourn around 1 p.m.
