Cerro Coso welcomes new staff members

Three new faces have appeared on the full-time faculty roster at Cerro Coso Community College this fall — Frank Timpone, Melanie Jeffrey, and Matt Wanta.

Timpone, full-time business instructor, has more than 22 years of higher- education teaching experience in addition to being a successful entrepreneur. He holds a bachelor of business administration in finance and economics from Baylor University and a master of business administration in finance from Florida State Universi-ty.

Jeffrey, a new full-time English faculty member, has a bachelor’s in English with an emphasis in creative writing from UCLA, and a master’s in creative writing and writing for the performing arts from the University of California Riverside.

Wanta, a registered nurse, has been adjunct teaching clinical courses for the Cerro Coso licensed vocational nursing program for the past three years.

As a full-time faculty member, he will assist in the development of course curriculum for new healthcare programs and courses at the college. He earned his bachelor’s in science with specialty in nursing from the University of Wisconsin.
