Burros win first round of playoffs

Players celebrate (left) and fans brave the cold (above) when Burroughs High School’s varsity football team won the first- round California Interscholastic Federation game against the San Jacinto Tigers, 17-8. The Burros will face Carter High School at home on Friday at 7 p.m. for the Division 8 CIF?quarterfinals. The Burros won this year’s Desert Sky League Championship 6-5, and Carter comes with a record of 11-0. Tickets for the game are $8 per adult and $5 per child.
