Angela Dill, 69, of Trona, died of cancer on Oct. 30, 2012. She was 69.
A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father James Dowds was celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at St. Madeleine’s Catholic Church inTrona, with burial at Trona Cemetary.
Born in Biddeford, Maine, on Jan. 20, 1943, to Ernest and Cora Leprohon, Angela graduated from Biddeford High School and joined the U.S. Army in 1962. She was an Army nurse stationed in Fort Lee, Va. She left the Army when she married Ronald Dill on Sept. 3, 1965. She went on to become a wife and mother of four children.
A resident of Trona since 1976, Angela worked as a teacher’s aide for the Trona Unified School District for 25 years before retiring in 2006. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and loved trips to Vegas.
Angela is predeceased by her brother Edward Leprohon and her sisters, Ernestine Inkel and Anna Sevigny. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald; and her children, Lisa Dill of Bakersfield, Tina Dill of Trona, Tony Dill of Trona and Ronald Dill. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Hannah Dill of Bakersfield, five brothers, six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also loved pets and dedicated many hours to animal causes. A special thank you to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, Home Health Services, and to the ladies at St. Madeleine Roman Catholic Church.
