Photo society to highlight Ansel Adams
Ruth Amster will share Ansel Adams’ Portfolio VI at the Nov. 1 meeting of the China Lake Photographic Society.
“Rarely does a local community like Ridgecrest get the opportunity to view the work of a renowned photographic artist such as Ansel Adams in an intimate setting,” said a club spokesperson.
The 10-print limited edition portfolio was made in 1974. The portfolio includes portrait, still life and landscape photographs taken from 1932-53.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Maturago Museum. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. There is no fee for admission; however, donations are accepted. For information call Helen Jackson at 760-375-2773 or Francois Clement at 760-301-6828.
