Deanna Irene Holloway
Deanna Irene Holloway, 73, died Oct. 8, 2012, from complications of pneumonia and congestive heart failure.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19, at Grace Lutheran Church in Ridgecrest. All who wish to attend are welcome.
Deanna was born Jan. 28, 1939, in Chicago, Ill., to George and Marjorie Dillman. She grew up in Scottsdale, Ariz., and attended the University of Arizona where she met her husband, Harry Holloway. She earned a B.A. in education and taught elementary school and piano privately for several years before joining the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division as a civil servant in the technical library. She retired from NAWCWD due to health reasons in 2001.
Deanna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Holloway, who she nursed through a long-term illness, until his death in 1986 and by her mother, Marjorie Dillman. She is survived by her children, Heath Holloway, Kerry Holloway and Kristine Holloway.
_Deanna had a loving and gentle spirit that endeared her to all who knew her. She was remarkable in her willingness to extend herself to support others, in her passion for music, books, animals and football, and in her love for her family. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
