Vice Adm. David Dunaway and longtime friend Stuart O. Witt of the China Lake Alliance greet each other at the alliance’s reception last week. Top China Lake officials mingled with community leaders in the event held in honor of Dunaway, recently named commander of the Naval Air Systems Command. Dunaway served three tours at China Lake, including one as commander of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division. He told his listeners that the quality of the employees and work being conducted at China Lake insures the naval installation’s future in RDT&E.
