Viewfinders Grand Prix set for Oct. 6-7

The 10th installment of the Viewfinders Grand Prix is coming to town Oct. 6 and 7. A total of 15 races will be run over the two days. There will be food available for purchase as well as numerous motorcycle- and ATV-related vendors.

The community is encouraged to come out and watch local riders battle it out over the once-a-year Viewfinders course that winds its way through the city streets and out into the desert.

“Come experience the thrills of the infamous Viewfinders mud hole in the rodeo arena. Will the racers jump over the mud or slog through?”

This year Viewfinders will also rearrange parts of the course to give the racers more laps as well as make more of the course spectator friendly. Be sure to check out the motocross track for some high-flying double jumps and berm shots. “Come see what the Viewfinders have in store for what’s left of the old miniature golf course!”

The first race on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. will feature racers from the Sheriff’s Office and the Ridgecrest Police Department. “Come on out and cheer them on and show support for those who serve and protect the Indian Wells Valley.”
