BHS Pancake breakfast set

The Second Annual Burroughs High School Homecoming Alumni and Community Pancake Breakfast is set for Saturday, Oct. 13 at the BHS cafeteria, starting at 9 a.m. and costing only $5 per person.

Presale tickets are available at BHS and at Gary Charlon Insurance, 995 N. Norma St. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.

The Farris Family Singers will sing several patriotic songs at 9 a.m. to start your day off with energy.

Other activities, starting at 10 a.m., include student-led campus tours, an open-house environment, the library open with every yearbook since 1946 available for review, a memory slideshow, the principal’s state-of-the-school message, and spirit gear available for purchase.

This event is sponsored by B Mountain Foundation, Inc., which helps support BHS activities.

“Our primary purpose is to expand our reach during homecoming festivities to our community and BHS Alumni,” said Principal Dave Ostash. “We realized that there is potential to capture the energy and enthusiasm of generations of community members who have a connection with BHS.”

Student representatives from the LINK Crew will give tours. In addition, the new Career Technical Education building will be open so that members of the community can see the beautiful new facility.

Burroughs is a California Distinguished School.
